She shoots, she scores!!!

Last night I did something on my bucket list. I shot a puck on Flyers ice (and made two of three shots!). The Flyers hosted the first Hockey & Heels event for women only, and Sauconrunner and I went. We got to tour the locker rooms and tunnels the players walk through, ask questions of a player (more on that later), some wives, one of the game broadcasters, and a female sports reporter (wish I was her!), pose on the zamboni and in the penalty box, and more. All in all, it was loads of fun. Of course, Sauconrunner and I could have a thousand laughs if we sat in her living room and roasted marshmallows all night. Which we've done. :)

Well, he was there last night! I saw him and said, "I have to apologize to you. I'm the lunatic who told you I loved you outside the U2 concert last summer. I promise I'm not a crazy lunatic! I'm really a normal person." He just laughed and shook my hand while pointing to the man behind him (the team's head trainer) and saying, "This time I brought my bodyguard!" Then on his next trip by he graciously posed for a pic. I love this guy. Class act all the way.

When we posed in the penalty box, I jokingly asked if we should look mad about getting a penalty. Sauconrunner apparently took me seriously....

The penalty box pic is definitely my favorite from the event. It makes me laugh every time I see it.

Look at that form! I think I definitely have a future in hockey. Oh yeah.

Oh, and we also were interviewed for Comcast Sportsnet. No clue when/if it will ever air, but hopefully I didn't sound like too much of a dufus.

(The photo doesn't do it justice, as it was taken with my cell phone. You've heard of smart phones? I have a stupid phone. No zoom on the camera, just aim and press and hope for the best.)
