1. Watching loved ones grow older and weaker is really difficult and sad.
2. My husband is a total rock star for building us a new shed and tearing down the old shed (which proved to be far more sturdy than we'd thought) in 90+ degree heat while never once complaining about having to spend so much time and energy doing so.
3. It's a really, really bad idea to attempt an 8-mile run in full sun with a faster friend when it's already nearly 10 a.m. and brutally hot. Seriously, worst run of my life. If that had been my first run, I would have thrown my shoes away and never attempted another run, ever.
4. Bikram yoga = meh. I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I think I prefer a more flowing style of yoga. Sure, I sweat a lot during the class, but that wasn't from any exertion, just the heat. My heartrate got up, but again, that could have been just the heat.
5. Roasted asparagus is the bomb.
6. So is the first corn on the cob of the season!
7. There is nothing like an old friend. Nothing. Yes, I'm talking to you, JSL!!! xoxox

Sad about the loved ones observation. :( Too many conflicting emotions for me to try and put into words, hence the sad smiley. :(
Running in that kind of heat is brutal. I bet you were fried. UGH.
The shed -- lol. Those old structures while appearing ramshackle have a surprising staying power! :)
Two thumbs up for roasted asparagus!! :)
It is said watching loved ones grow old
Running in the heat is brutal..period
It is sad watching loved ones slow down. At least you are still watching them.
Careful running in the heat. It's easy to hurt yourself. I carry a frozen water bottle (the throw away kind) which keeps me cool for about 45 minutes and provides ice water after 30 minutes of running.
